Workforce diversity in Melbourne traffic management for the NEL

STA Traffic Management Solutions is the traffic control and traffic management company in Melbourne for the North East Link Project. We’re currently working with aboriginal engagement officers to assist in achieving diversity in the workforce. This is part of our commitment to safe and inclusive workplaces, policies, and services.

Together with The Spark — NEL D&C, we have partnered with A2B Personnel, an Indigenous labour hire company, to facilitate opportunities for Indigenous workers interested in working on the North East Link. This project is set to create 10,000 jobs, with around 8,000 jobs on the North East Link Tunnels alone.

With NAIDOC Week fast approaching, it’s the perfect opportunity to push for the search of over 800 Indigenous Mob to take part in Victoria’s biggest ever road project. National NAIDOC Week is held every year to celebrate and recognise the culture, history, and achievements of Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders with activities and events across Australia during the first week of July. STA Traffic is proud to be part of this celebration by offering exciting job opportunities to Aborigines and Islanders in a friendly and supportive working environment.

The North East Link is Victoria’s largest ever investment in a road project. It will create the missing connection between the M80 Ring Road and the Eastern Freeway, which will significantly improve traffic flow and travel times in the area and many areas and local roads around.

Working on the North East Link Project with some of the industry’s best professionals is a great and exciting chance to gain valuable skills, knowledge, and experience that you can use in this field, as well as in other areas. Our expert traffic controllers and team leaders are more than happy to provide training and guidance for every worker’s professional and personal development.
