Leisa, Operation Administrator
I commenced working with STA as a Traffic Controller when I was 22 years old.
I was new to the Construction Industry & didn’t really know what to expect, however STA recognized this & they ensured that my induction into their company was a very pleasant experience. They provided me with guidance & assistance in gaining all the necessary qualifications required to be able to commence working as a Traffic Controller.
As time passed & I gained further experience & knowledge, the company suggested I expand this knowledge further & look at obtaining additional tickets to become an Electrical Spotter, to which I did.
I’ve seen the company grow over the years & now expand in the large government projects which had added a lot of diversity in the work we do. STA’s approach to employing new staff is a credit to their want to be a multicultural company, not discriminating against anyone. This has been very important to me. From my humble beginnings at the age of 22 & with the assumptions that this was only to be a short term job, I am now 31 years old & was recently approached by management with an opportunity to work in the office, as part of the Operations team, to which I accepted. I’m loving my job & look forward to seeing what the future holds for me at STA.

I’ve been a casual employee at STA for quite a few years. I have always enjoyed working here and found management and office staff always easy to talk to and understand. They are there to help employees on which ever way they can when possible. They have always had a great clientele and appreciate the work that we do.
