STA Traffic wants all road users to have a safe and uneventful journey when travelling over the Christmas holiday period.
During this time of year there are greater numbers of road users undertaking private travel and travel in unfamiliar areas than during non-holiday periods. Whilst there are statistically no more fatal road crashes over the holiday period than the non-holiday period, the incidence of fatigue-related crashes and crashes occurring on roads with speed limits of 100 km per hour and above is significantly greater.
Where road conditions are altered due to changes in weather conditions (for example a storm causing flooding over the road), accident, the presence of well-positioned and planned traffic diversions cannot be underestimated. This is particularly important as there are many more drivers travelling longer distances through rural areas during the holidays. When travelling at over 100km per hour, a much greater and earlier indication of road conditions needs to be given to drivers. At STA Traffic we have extensive experience in erected signage and warning of changed road or traffic conditions or hazards in emergency situations, 24 hours a day.
In the case of an emergency, the STA Traffic team is available 365 days a year to provide traffic control services, even over the festive season when other businesses are winding down. Indeed, with many celebratory events scheduled and increased levels of traffic on the roads, this is actually our busiest time of year.
STA Traffic provide professional traffic management plans and traffic control Victoria-wide, even during the busy Christmas holiday period. Whether for an emergency or an organised festive event, contact STA Traffic.
