What should I expect working as an STA Traffic Controller?
I’m glad you asked! You can expect to work with some of the most professional and experienced Traffic Controllers and Team Leaders in the field. Experienced staff who are willing to train and develop those new to the industry (everyone has to start somewhere).
You will have the support and guidance from our friendly Operations team and Management who are here to help and guide you along the way.
All Traffic Controllers are employed on a casual basis, you are not guaranteed ongoing consistent work. This is due to several factors such as weather, projects, holiday periods, and specific site inductions. If you are willing and eager to take on any shift, no matter how short notice or location, then we would be willing to enrol you to certain site-specific inductions to invest in your future. This will be assessed during your probation period. You may be required to stand up for a period of over 8 hours, lift and hold heavy signage and work in all weather conditions. To find out more about the inherent requirement of the role please contact us.
